D.P. Dough Blacksburg

I have been going to dp doughs since my first day of college and it is by far one of my favorite places to eat in Blacksburg. The food is great and the owner is as well. I hope everyone has the opportunity to grab a calzone.

Delicious fresh calzones — what else can u ask for? Love it!

Ordered a custom Construction Zone calzone, full Caesar Salad, and 2 Liter Sprite via GrubHub. Food arrived quickly and was great, the Caesar salad was beautiful and fresh and my calzone was exactly as I ordered it, but the soda was missing and the delivery driver had to come back after dropping off my food. I called the restaurant to also let them know that when the delivery driver arrived, he called me and told me he was outside my apartment and to come get my food. It was not because he could not find my apartment, he was directly outside. I personally don’t care going to get my own food, but when I called the restaurant and told them what happened, they didn’t seem to care and were rather annoyed that I was simply stating that it might make someone else really mad that their delivery driver didn’t come to their door. Despite all this, I will certainly order from them again, as I said the food was amazing and well worth the price.

Great atmosphere and great music.... the staff is amazing and kind. The calzone combinations sometimes sound weird but totally work. Overall the best late night or day time food in town!!!

Pretty good, for the convenience. While I think they have good calzones, they don't have super fast service and they sometimes are out of ingredients. I've been there both early evening hours (6-8pm) and late evening (12-2am) and the service difference isn't that huge. They aren't fast food - expect to wait half an hour for your food. When you get it, it's hot and fresh! Comes with marinara sauce or whatever you desire and that's quite nice.

Overall, a convenient and good place to eat in downtown Blacksburg, but don't expect fast service. And when it's busy, all of their filling options aren't available.
