Great prices and good food will keep you coming back. The service is good and the atmosphere is comfortable.
The food is delicious and the beer is always cold!
Very much like a true neighborhood restaurant and bar. Hefty Daily Specials at very reasonable prices. Friendly wait staff!
Very cozy, loved the lighting and friendly atmosphere. The place was COLD. Many people kept their coats on while eating. Food was basic American cuisine with salads, burgers, and sandwiches. I probably won't go back until summer so it will be warmer.
First: fried ravioli! Like mozzarella sticks, but better.
My turkey special was "just like mom makes"; but that meant juicy but bland turkey, mashed potatoes, what seemed like a box stuffing with some celery and onion added, and a thick but mild gravy. Twenty-five cents extra got me about a tablespoon of cranberry sauce that was right out of the can. Something I can see older townies or home-sick students craving, but not a 'special' to me.
The roast beef sandwich, on the other hand, was delicious and a great bargain. The BBQ sauce for it is really spicy; I've heard good things about the horseradish as well. The macaroni and cheese was also tasty.
The beer selection looked great, but I was there for lunch a late lunch and the bar was near empty. Another time, perhaps.
