My sister and I stayed here for a weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The inn is on a beautiful, scenic property and one of my favorite parts of our stay was walking around and visiting the farm animals. The innkeepers made sure we had everything we needed from snacks and beverages to amazing breakfasts! Their hospitality and the charming and scenic inn made for a wonderful stay. The beds were super comfortable and each room is gorgeously decorated! Be sure to enjoy the outdoor decks too. The inn is also very closet to Shenandoah and a ton of other great hiking spots, like Crabtree Falls, as well as wineries and distilleries.I can't wait to go back!

I cannot day enough great things about this lovely B&B! To start, the location is very close and convenient to so many breweries, wineries, distilleries and bold rock cidery too! The inn itself is stunning! From the beautiful mountain views, watching the horses grazing in the field, listening to the birds singing and burbling of the creek surrounding the house- it was all so relaxing and tranquil. The inn was so gorgeous and cozy, and the beds-AMAZING! We were served a huge, delicious, homemade breakfast in the morning that was completely glutean free. The innkeepers Rich, Mary and their beautiful dog Lily were so kind and hospitable! They made us feel right at home! My husband and I are looking forward to coming back very soon! Highly recommend for a nice, relaxing getaway!!

Where to start!? We were traveling through the area and looking for a place to stay, and found Richard and Marys Country Inn. After a very simple and user friendly reservation online we received a confirmation and even a phone call from Mary letting us know where to park and to ask if we had any dietary requirements.
Upon arrival we were met by Richard and taken on a tour of their incredible property. The Inn has been meticulously decorated and each room has its own theme.
After settling in, we (with Richards recommendation) drove to The Devils Backbone Brewery for some dinner and beers. Fantastic brewery and delicious food.
Then there was the beds! You might be ruined for life if you sleep here; we have never slept in a more comfortable bed, with sheets and pillows that feel like you are sleeping in clouds! Getting out of it in the morning was very difficult! Shower was hot and the toiletries were all local and hypoallergenic and organic. Towels were super fluffy.
We came down to breakfast and had fresh brewed coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice and were treated to an incredible breakfast with our hosts which was all locally sourced and also organic.
I cannot recommend this place enough; the details and thoughtful touches made this overnight stop a completely unexpected delight. We also got to see the horses, miniature donkeys, peacocks and turkeys! Thank you again Richard and Mary, we will be back to see you for sure!

TL;DR: This place is magical! Beautiful views, amazing hospitality, easy to find, great room! We found Nelly's ford Country Inn very comfortable and welcoming! Google maps took us directly there with no issues. Richard (the host) told us the story of the house, offered cookies, snacks, tea and coffee available at any time. The room (we stayed in the Serenity Room) was amazing! California King bed with all the variety of pillows you could want. The Inn focuses on farm to table and organic products for everything; from the locally made bed to the shampoos, soaps, and lotions! Even some of the food is from the property itself! Service was incredible! Richard went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect! The property is gorgeous! The Host's animals are beautiful and a river runs right by! We spend the morning looking at the beautiful mountains views enjoying tea and coffee on the front porch 100% would recommend for everyone to stay here! Perfect for our wine/brewery trip of state route 151!
