The Gray family loves this place, clean, kid friendly, professional hardworking individuals! Food is amazing beyond amazing to be exact! You have to try there chicken and waffles and the chicken gravy they serve it just brings it together! The mimosas are out of this world! This is a well kept secret brunch spot!!! The owner also caters! The owner actually checks on us frequently, he really takes pride in his restaurant, we stopped going to first watch for our brunch dates and started only coming to Bryds for our brunch dates!! Thanks so much for incredible customer service!!
Absolutely the best breakfast and wait staff we have ever had traveling across the U.S and Europe! Everything we ordered was delicious. Cinnamon roll pancakes, Corned beef hash (not canned) and Shrimp and grits. From the hostess that seated us, the waiter, and several other people checking on us for refills and anything else we needed. We never felt
Hands down my favorite place to eat when I visit family in Newport News. They also have amazing food and adult beverages. Sit outside on the covered patio and enjoy the breeze. Whether you are looking for breakfast or lunch they have a great menu. The staff is very friendly and you'll always find something you like on the menu or from the daily special. Skip the chain restaurants and support a local small business!
Excellent friendly service and a delicious Reuben made for a very enjoyable lunch today. Previous visits for brunch on the weekends were also greatly appreciated. Try Byrd’s for lunch or brunch; it will get you singing! The food was very good combined with a team approach to service that made this a beautiful morning out. We had a wonderful Breakfast at Byrd's. Our server was Tressa. The Omelettes were huge and delicious. The signature Sunshine Bites were incredible. It is an extremely popular local restaurant so expect to wait.
They always have great quality breakfast for a reasonable price. Shrimp and grits is an excellent choice. The other recommendation I have is their Sweet Potato Fries. If you don't want to wait a while for seats, I would suggest going during the week. Great food, good customer service, and full stomach without emptying your wallet.
