Fin Seafood

I really recommend this place for seafood - it's a great place to be! Since I already heard a lot of positive comments this was my first visit. I enjoyed the excellent service and food and was impressed by the profound knowledge about dishes and drinks. Food was excellent, I will be back soon ????

I went thinking all I would be able to order was a salad. However, when the waitress realized I was vegan (requested no cheese or creamy dressing on my salad). She quickly suggested that the chef make me a vegan dish.Listen the cream-less/cheese-less salad was sooo good. But the chefs dish was phenomenal and filling.

Pretty plates and tasty food. Service was very good as well. We started with both soups (she crab and corn chowder).
They were both very good, the corn truffle one might have been slightly better.
We had the crab dip, which was good as well, and very filling.
We had lunch entrees, the salmon, the crab cakes, and the fried oysters.
They were all very good, and All the sides were EXCELLENT!

Where do I start with Fin? I first found Fin quite a number of years ago while in Newport News for work. All I can say is I was immediately blown away. Being a seafood junky from Maryland I have high expectations. This exceeded every one. The seafood was fresh, cooked perfectly, and the presentation is top notch. Dare I say, this is my favorite crab cake bar none. As a bonus, it is naturally gluten free which absolutely no filler. I couldn't recommend Fin enough - only wish it were closer to home. Open a location in Baltimore!!

The bar area is a small part of the restaurant off by itself. As such it had it's own vibe. The bartender was very fast and made a great martini. This is white table cloth kind of restaurant. So while the prices were a little high the food was fantastic. The waiter had many wine recommendations and the one we went with, Spring Valley red blend, was very good.
