First Watch - Newport News

Not much from the outside and the entry is just like a house door. It would be great if both customers and hostess can see through a glass door. Weird. The restaurant is nicely decorated with comfortable chairs. Fast service. Food was delicious and tasted authentic but very rich... some overly greasy. Overall the birthday party went well and all were happy with the food and service.

I do not know who in the kitchen made the grits this morning, but they were perfect. Typically they are very wet and runny, but these were that perfect balance of solid, but not dry. Please keep making them this way. Oh, all the other food was delicious, as always.

Great food and fast service. We made a reservation and came as a large group. It seems they were ready for us. I was suprised how quickly we got out food. Plenty of seating for everyone too. I'd heard good things about this restaurant and they all seem to be true.

I love eating at first watch. Amazing breakfast. Coffee is delicious, best in town. Food is fresh. Prices great. "Get in line option saves time". Staff is courteous, helpful and friendly.

I enjoyed excellent food. The service was excellent. Very open area, so even though it was busy, you could easily move around. I have a food allergy. As soon as I mentioned it, the server went to check if the dish I wanted could be made without the allergen. All and all if I'm ever in the area, or find one elsewhere I'll happily dine there.
