Amazing food, friendly service in a quiet family atmosphere. Don't miss out on this gem!
This place is great! Low key and very friendly. Great costumer service and great Nepalese food. I had the veggie momo which was super tasty. Very authentic. We need a Chulo in Richmond
Wonderful Nepalese cuisine! This cute little restaurant has a great atmosphere with both charming decor and a charismatic owner/chef. The lunch portions are generous, varied and reasonably priced. The dinner menu is slightly different but still a great value. Be aware, the food is prepared in the traditional way and as such has pieces of bone in many of the meat dishes. Wonderful for the flavor but not a pleasant surprise if you not ready for that.
Several months ago, I tried to order chicken briyani for takeout (around 6:30pm), but they were already sold out. Ended up ordering chicken MO:MO dumplings and some other entrees. The MO:MO dumplings with the sauce were fantastic! I would definitely go back for the MO:MO. You must try it! They have chicken and veggie versions. Not a fan of the other entrees as far as flavor and freshness (-2). Owner was extremely nice. Service and MO:MO dumplings....5 stars!
The flavor of the food and service was excellent. The only gripe I have is that the cooking style is fully traditional, which means the chicken curry has bones in it. Other than the unexpected surprise of finding the bone, I loved the place. The prices are extremely affordable for the quality and style of food served. If I could give higher praise to the owners, chef and other staff on this review, i would. Just an excellent experience. And in case anyone is wondering, the name is a bit confusing, but the primary dishes are Indian in style, though not exact, at least in what I have previously experienced.
