Doumar's Cones & Barbecue

Found this place by luck. I'm not from the area and was dropping my son off at college (Old Dominion) and my wife wanted BBQ. Old school dinner vibe was cool. I was craving a hot dog so that's what I ordered with fries. The wife and kids got pulled pork sandwiches with double meat. For the price of the pulled pork with double meat was worth the price. Infact the price was reasonable for everything on the menu. Sweet tea was excellent as well as the milk shakes. The fries on the other hand was cafeteria frozen quality but still good. The hot dog was good as well. My wife and kids raved about the pulled pork but would have liked some BBQ sauce which they do not offer. I would recommend this place and next time I stop by I will be trying that pulled pork!

CHEAP QUALITY EATS! This place is awesome that's really all that can be said. But, I'll write more anyway! I went here with my kids and we sat in the car while a waitress came over and took our order. Maybe 10 minutes later we were eating some delicious burgers and fries. I went in there today and tried one of their milkshakes. AMAZING! The service was prompt even with them being so busy! Been here only a handful of times, but I will be back for sure!

I've only ever had the BBQ sandwich because it's so good I never had to try anything else. Their root beer floats are amazing and they have this thing called a Ringo that I sometimes have dreams about.
Their secret food superpowers are all in the sauce.

We made this part of our family vacation and we are so glad we did! The food was tasty and simple wrapped in was paper and the ice cream was awesome and the cones were worth the trip. Prices are so very reasonable!

Dollars a place in history if you come to Norfolk you have to come to Dollars fantastic BBQ and BURGERS. They have full menu as well. You will see the very 1st waffle ice cream cone maker and it is still in operation. Dollars is a must see and visit to appreciate. Still have curb service car hops if anyone remembers them, plus countless movies have been made here.
