We went here in a Sunday while in the local area with some good friend's, the food was awesome, or waitress was amazing and on her game. Had I not been on a strict we diet I would have enjoyed more but limited myself to the chicken, while my wife had what she could eat of the smokehouse burger. This important because I swiped several nice size pieces of the brisket from her burger and it was awesome, my chicken was also awesome and would recommend if you are ever in the area for the Nauticus or local mall.
This place is legit. The staff was very inviting and our waiter Joseph was by far the best waiter I have encountered. Best tuna tacos. If I could give this review more stars I would. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to try something out of the ordinary.
First off, I feel your experience will heavily rely on the people working the shift. I came on a Sunday evening and there was a good amount of people, but it was not packed. Our waiter forgot a few basic items like silverware, but our drinks never went empty.
The trashcan nachos came fairly soggy and I probably would not order them again. I had the 18 hour smoked beef brisket and tried the pulled pork. Both were juicy, very tender, and went great with the BBQ sauce. The fries were average, the coleslaw was pretty plain, and the white bread was nothing short of embarrassing; they could have put some effort into choosing anything other than basic bottom of the barrel white toast for this $19 entree. Thankfully the brisket and pork made up for these bland items.
I'm 6 foot 140 pounds and the portions with the trashcan nacho appetizer were a good size. I left feeling pretty full and had a just barely above average experience overall.
Service was slow compared to the amount of people in the establishment. Needed to ask twice for refills. Food overall was good. My friend got the mac and cheese burger which he liked and I got the smokehouse brisket. I enjoyed it but not enough to order it again. In my opinion it was overpriced for its quality. Will probably not return
