This was our first time there and it will not be our last, the owners were so welcoming and delightful. They let us try the smoked sausage and bacon from the smokehouse. I loved hearing stories of how Christmas Soup came about and the fruit dumpling was the most delicious thing ever! I’m so very happy I found this restaurant. The wait stuff was wonderful as well.

We came here for the second time while on a business trip/family weekend. This is an awesome authentic experience. Dishes are very different but delicious. Tomato and feta cheese salad with home made dressing is absolutely amazing. They bring you delicious bread and cheese at the beginning. Veal cordon blue was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent and owner of the restaurant was so much fun. Highly recommend! Atmosphere is very authentic as well!

I was looking for a good place to go for our 8th wedding anniversary and I stumbled across this place. It is in an unassuming little place but it so quaint inside. The owner chatted with us and was so proud of her restaurant. The food was delicious and made from scratch. They have a variety of dishes from different parts of Europe so you can be adventurous or just pick something simple and familiar. I will be returning.

Wow! They welcome you as if you’re family. We will be coming back again and again. The waitress was extremely attentive and kind. The food was out of this world delicious! So excited to have had an amazing experience here. Anna, one of the owners, made sure our experience was perfect!

I went here a couple weeks ago on a Wednesday evening around 8pm. It’s a comfortable walk from nearby parking. It’s a little hole in the wall place. The restrictions in place made it a little awkward for entrance as you had to knock on the door to be let in. This was immediately alleviated by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. When they say it’s a European style restaurant they mean it. It’s very cozy and romantic. The tables were seated every other so as to maintain safety. The servers were very cordial in offering assistance. We got escargot and they were polite and helpful when telling us how to eat it as it was our first time having it. We got a pleasant red wine. And the food was utterly delicious. The cooks have definitely perfected the goulash recipe. It rivals something you would get from Prague, which is exactly why we came. The cooks, a husband and wife, came to check on us personally, offering more dumplings, and took great pride in their work. They have been running The Monastery for over 35 years, and it shows. If you’re ever in the area and craving some high quality food, great service, and a smile, this is the place to go.
