My Mama's Kitchen

We came from out of town and stumbled across this gem, and I'm so glad we did!! We pulled up and thought we were lost (because it looks like a house on the side of the road) and almost missed it. The inside had a nice, cozy, welcome to our home feel, and the staff had the attitude to match. Everyone was very nice, and I enjoyed talking to Mom herself. I ordered the brisket sandwich (sub fries for slaw), buffalo wings, collard greens, and baked beans. Everything was excellent!! We had planned to order again for dinner (we went around 2), but they close at 5 on Saturdays :( we will be going back another day to try the gouda cheeseburger and the ice-less smoothies (no ice so it makes it healthier and naturally sweet). Well done Mama's!!

I recommend this restaurant with assurance that your visit will have you adding a review for the staff's friendliness, the comfort food you order very tasty. My family visited and found this wonderful takeout on Yelp, thank you "STAFF" for sharing your culinary skills to the area.

The wings were great. They were nice and fresh. Great flavor.

The fries are overly seasoned and prepared with enough spice to cause you heartburn.

I will not be ordering again.

This is the best shrimp po’boy and fresh cut fries in VA! Stopped by for a quick lunch while taking sailing lessons nearby. Definitely visit Mama’s if you’re in the area.

I would give 5 stars had we not waited 50 minutes for our order. That said, it was worth it. The food was excellent & so flavorful. Not a place to eat if you are in s hurry. The smoothies are delicious & all natural.
