PRESS was great tonight! Sat outside. Super friendly, super service...happy to be there
This was our first time here for a date night. This place is amazing from the minute you walk in the door with their amazing decor and low light. Perfect spot for a date with my wife. Their service was excellent, extensive wine and drink menu. Food was amazing and very tasty. We tried the fried shrimp and beets. For main course we both tried their fish special and it was delicious. Nothing was left on the plate. My wife tried their bread pudding and it was amazing. We will definitely be back.
Charcuterie board here is pretty great. You can choose to have 3, 5, 7 or 10 meats and cheeses, which is helpful because you can scale it for the table.
Great wine list. And! It’s 1/2 off bottles on Wednesday nights.
The croque monsieur is a favorite if you happen to be there for brunch.
Enjoy!
Cute little place with character. Delicious cheese boards and grilled cheeses (and I am picky about my cheese board!). We loved wine Wednesday and our server Steven was awesome! We will definitely be back!
Press 626 is a trendy restaurant/wine bar nestled in a historic building in the Ghent neighborhood of Norfolk. On the wine side, they have a variety of domestic and imported wine. There is a private tasting room on the second floor that holds regular events.
First floor is the restaurant and bar. In addition to wine they have a variety of fancy cocktails available. Food menu is seafood oriented with a variety of fresh options available. I personally had the scallops and they were amazing.
Service is knowledgeable, fast, and courteous. Our server was even willing to speak with us briefly about the history of the building.
The restaurant is on the small side so if you're looking at a popular night then I would highly recommend making reservations. It is possible you might be seated without them, but there was a decent wait time for tables by the time we left. Limited parking is available behind the restaurant. Be careful not to park in the spaces reserved for the adjacent apartment building.
Fun place - check it out!
