    My meal was JUST okay... I wanted to be WOW'd .. but I wasn't. I ordered lentil soup, samosas and an eggplant dish. These dishes are my favorites.... I usually order some variation of them at most Indian restaurants. Oh well ....

    The food was delicious and the atmosphere was pleasant. The music was okay just loud and interesting. The staff was very nice and very pleasant to speak to. Would definitely recommend a little visit to this place!

    A little rough getting started, but otherwise excellent. Great breads, delicious food. I've always been a fan of Indian food, it's what I've grown up around, and I think that the food is great. If you like spices, or spicy things, this is the place for you.

    Authentic Indian restaurant and when local Indians come to eat there it s a good sign. Staff was very attentive, eager to please and accommodate. Food was excellent .

    So..I’ve been eating Indian Food for decades in various cities and countries and this is by far my FAVORITE!! I actually live right above Saffron and stay here on the weekends but live and work in the DC area during the week!! Despite being in the Nation’s Capital and having access to America’s greatest national and international food, I wait until I come to Norfolk, VA to get my fill of Indian food!! Make sure to see Jimmy who is definitely an amazing restaurant manager and can also make some killer drinks!! He also makes your dining experience top notch! As a resident of both the DMV and 757, you won’t be disappointed if you venture to downtown Norfolk for this AMAZING food!!
