Tacos y Tequila

Food and drinks were absolutely phenomenal!!! Jessy’s was my go to always and I was heading there last night but drove by here and decided to give them a try. They didn’t disappoint at all!! I’ll be back next week!!

Best Mexican food I’ve found in Norfolk! Previously Jessy’s on 20th and Oro Azteca have been my favorite. And service was fantastic. Will only be ordering from here from now on. Felt a little empty inside, but food makes up for everything. Got 4 different street tacos and tried the Birria tacos as well as the table side guac.

Pretty good. You can tell how new it is, everyone seems to still be learning. Some mistakes here and there, but the food was not disgusting. Pineapple strawberry margarita was yummmmy. Chips and salsa was good, the salsa needed some salt, and I bit into a super hot pepper that almost sent me to heaven but that’s a small price to pay for free chips and salsa 😂. Our server was nice and friendly, I didn’t get his name. The chorizo queso dip was piping hot, but kinda bland, I just feel like it needs a little spice or some sort of flavor. It was lacking only in that sector. The tacos I would give a 8/10. Red onions on a taco is criminal in my world, but to each their own I guess. The meat was drier than I’d like. The tortillas were acceptable. I would go again.

I got the vegan tacos and they were delicious! I'm not sure what type of soy meat they use but I really liked it and the rice and beans were seasoned nicely. Great portions and flavor! I'll definitely go back. (plus my skinny margarita was perfect - they did not skimp on the alcohol)
Also, our server Dylan was so efficient and nice! We had a really sweet lady make guac at our table and she was so sweet with my baby nephew who couldn't stop watching her. Both servers did an excellent job!
All around great atmosphere, food, and service! I'm happy to have a place like this in Ghent.
