Sting-Ray's Restaurant

A pleasant surprise tucked inside a gas station stop. Great local flavor in both atmosphere and food. Old-time-maritime mixed with down-on-the-farm, with a tourist gift shop. Home cooking en-masse. You have to wait a bit for the food, but it's worth it. Popular stop among locals & travelers. Ranges from simple Navy bean soup with grilled cheese type dishes up to all out seafood feasts. Daily specials. Good BBQ. Order at the counter, then they bring the food to your table. Always friendly efficient staff. Only reason I didn't give it five stars was because of the aging interior & acoutriments. That really ads to the atmosphere & is not a deal breaker, but don't want review readers to expect a shiny, spic-&-span modern place. It's been there awhile.

The best fried clams I have ever had. Great place. Friendly locals and staff. Casual atmosphere. $4 breakfast special was perfect. Good coffee. Would highly recommend this place to anyone!!!!

We've spent a week in the bay and this place was BY FAR the best food we've had! I wish we would have stopped by earlier in the week....its busy, but it's a lot of food and the staff are so sweet and welcoming! "Gas station seafood" comment had us scared but I'm glad we gave it a chance! The gift shop is cute :)

Very friendly service. Pay first at counter but drinks and friendly smiles throughout meal. Was definitely a great experience and would go back again. Even with the 36 buck round trip toll. Great job!
