Kelly's Gingernut Pub

I had the crab cake sandwich. It was good. The fries were great. I'm picky about my crab cakes, but the one I had held up to its competition fairly well. People were sat relatively quickly, without any overly long wait times. The atmosphere was nice, and the staff was friendly.

Good food but prepare to wait after being seated. Too be fair we did arrive right at opening and had 7 people in our party, but it appeared they only had one or two waiters/waitresses for the entire place. Nice atmosphere and casual.

The decor is fantastic. We sat in the old bank vault. That being said, it feels very little like an Irish pub. I was hoping for some Irish tunes or something. It was quiet. I think I heard Jimmy Hendrix far away once. Food was filling and the beer was cold. Overall odd experience. I would go again.

The food and service were good but not excellent. I got the crab cake sandwich which seemed a bit pricey at $18 and only one crabcake. The server forgot to bring the sauce so I had to ask for it. The fish and chips were a bit over fried. Even though we were seated right away and came before the big lunch crowd, we were the for over an hour. The staff was friendly overall and the building quite cute.

Outdoor seating for guest with pets. Lots of shade and great ambiance. Service and food were fantastic. Plenty of parking. A slowed down way of life. A really great time.
