The Great Machipongo Clam Shack

Good food and staff were friendly, though the were packed and 4 of them running the show,they still have composure to serve hungry and craving for seafood tummies. You guys did a good job. Worth a try and if you come from south you can't miss it ,there's a signage every now and then to point to you where they are. Kudos to the management and staff.

Delicious and fresh seafood. Unique decore and fun. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Prices were reasonable. I had the sampler basket with just puppies and coleslaw. It was great. Would highly recommend stopping in!!!

So I was on my way back from North Carolina and wanted to grab a quick carry out as I passed through the Virginia Eastern Shore. I called them at 8:59 p.m. and they told me that they were closing. I said oh well I'll catch you next time. I got a call back a couple minutes later from a lady who asked me how far away I was. I told her I was 15 minutes away and she said she would wait. Sure enough when I got there all the lights were out and she was waiting for me in front of the front door with my food. What a wonderful rare experience in most businesses today. I highly highly recommend this restaurant. Not only because of this service but also because their food is absolutely amazing. If you haven't tried their she crab soup it is the best I've ever eaten. Linda and Doug...you're absolutely the best

The food itself especially the she crab chowder was amazing. Bought a quart of it to take home.
Clams very good as well
However I ordered a beer and every bottle they brought out was passed by MONTHS it's "used by" date. Not good.
Service besides serving very old beer was GREAT.
