This establishment is a gem in a sea of chain restaurants and mediocre local dives! As an earlier review noted, don’t let the fact that Franken Stube is attached to a gas station turn you off. You would truly be missing out if you did. Inside the restaurant is a bit small, however this lends to its homey, “like grama’s house” style. Everyone working there was super friendly and attentive; we could have stayed and talked with them for hours. The food? Well, let me just say- FANTASTIC. Hot, perfectly cooked with a simple presentation, and the flavor was out of this world. Just what we were yearning for. Home cooked, AUTHENTIC German food done right. Overall just a wonderful dining experience. We will absolutely make Franken Stube one of our regular go-to’s.

This was the first time my wife and I ate here. The menu was great, and so was the beer selection. Our waitress was spot on, and kept our beer glasses full. It reminded me of when I was stationed in Neu-Ulm, West Germany from 1982 to 1984. We will definitely eat here again! They also give a military discount.

Delicious! Big taste of Germany in Petersburg! For Dessert, I had the homemade Black Forest cake which was absolutely delicious! Love this place, great location, right off 95!
