Fish & Slips Marina Raw Bar & Grill

This is one of my favorite spots for me and my friends. My favorite things are crab balls steamed shrimp, fish tacos. The atmosphere is great, it can get a bit noisy in the bar. But some days, I like the dining room for conversations, or outside during spring and fall. The service is generally always pleasant, but can be slow when ultra busy. I don't care as I know so many people there, it gives me time to catch up with friends!

Love this place. Portsmouth’s best kept secret. We are a military family and love to be out and about, from being conditioned to city life. Warm atmosphere and amazing service. Andrea is wonderful!! She is always smiling and makes you feel right at home! She steps in when it’s busy to help customers get situated and served. We always look forward to seeing her! Love this place and Andrea!! Came here for lunch today. Very enjoyable experience. Parking lot signs were a little hidden, just turn in and the signs say park near the fences. Oyster po boy and the buffalo shrimp tacos were great. These portions were so generous!

Fantastic portion sizes and good prices as well. A little wait when we first entered before someone walked in the area and saw us. We chose where we wanted to sit. The waitress was very attentive to the kids (automatically brought extra napkins) and checked with me before refilling their soda. I enjoyed the breading on the jumbo shrimp and the coleslaw had good flavor.

It's a great location, and right in the middle of the marina. It's upstairs, and the stairs to the entrance are along the left of the building. Tuna sandwich was delicious, and the staff were friendly. Great view of the water and Norfolk. We will be back! There is a full bar there and a marina shop on the first floor.
