Lobscouser Restaurant

This is usually my favorite spot on fridays, and anytime I want to just sit and talk. My favorite thing is the grilled salmon, but like the prime rib slot too. I like that they have a early bird special, because I usually like a smaller portion. They also have fresh vegetables, that I like. All the server's are nice, but Rachel has been serving us for nineteen years so she knows what we like, and how we like it cooked. Great cocktails too.!

My "go to" neighborhood eatery - especially during the Early Bird special hour, 5:30-6:30 pm, when a full seafood meal, fresh and cooked to order, won't cost even $10.00!

The decor, steeped in Portsmouth's history, is charmingly 'kitchesque', clean, quiet and we'll lit.
The service is quick and friendly, but not obstrusive.

The food is incredible, very good variety, you can get a seafood platter, for about $10. ????You can even get oysters. Hush puppies, great, fried green tomatoes. ????Yum! Only have one complaint, parking, parallel, so difficult to find a parking space ???? Outside of restraunt is deceiving, very plain, once inside, the smell of wonderful seafood cooking will have you hooked. Serving size, very ample. ???? Can't wait to come back again, oh! Desserts, yes!! So please come by and give it a try ????????????????

We really enjoyed our meals at Lobscouser! If you're looking for comfort seafood, entrées and veggies, in reasonable proportions, this is your place. We had to look twice at the check because it was so inexpensive. The atmosphere was friendly and cozy. We'll return time and again.

Food was excellent. Prices were excellent. Food delivery was very good. Server needs major improvement. Eight people and he seemed as if he didn't want to serve us. Initially I thought it was a color thing but not really sure.
