More than adequate wait staff for a huge restaurant setting with plenty of sitting space per table/person....generous portions of excellent food... was 2 meals for my wife and myself...meet owner's son who was working at that time....very cordial individual....will visit again when riding by Farmville. 5 stars !!

Merk's has been around quite a few years and has a solid clientele for a reason. The food is good, the service is good and the staff are wonderful. Don't let the tired exterior and dated interior put you off. I'd have given it 5 stars if it weren't for the badly needed updating. This place is definitely about the food. Do yourself a favor and pay them a visit.

The food is so good there and the customer service is incredibly awesome. And you have management and staff that treat you like your family when you walk in there. It was like I knew them for years. I consider this one of the best restaurants in Farmville

Food delicious-Prices great, most under $10.00-I had Fried shrimp ,Cole Slaw and French fries. I think it was $8.25 -Portions were very hearty and delicious. my friend had Cod fish sandwich with Cole slaw and homemade potato chips also very good .I think it was between $7.-$8.00 .The only new negative thing was our ticket got lost for awhile. So
our wait was quite awhile .I had had to get my dessert Togo. And I enjoyed that later at home. Which was a piece of Lemon cake topped with strawberries!!!!! All in all a very good experience. Will go back.

The steak had a good flavor, but was not as tender as I would have liked.
Offered homemade lemon cake, but it was dry an the icing did not seem homemade. The pieces of cake that was served was way to big. Service was Wonderful, an place was clean.
Saw a hambuger steak that was someone else.looked really good...
