New and improved.
I reviewed this place along with many others on Yelp for try epiQ food hall previously.
I’m super excited to come back and say they not only heard from customers like me but they made changes based on feedback.
The chicken was definitely hot and well coated in their signature spice mix. It wasn’t too hot which I think can be tweaked and the chicken need a bit more salt/seasoning but it was juicy and made to order.
If you’ve not tried this place you are missing out a a good find.
Alright was too busy munching on the food didn’t even get a chance to take better pictures of it! Man this place is a 9.5/10 for us!! And we’ve been all around VA and even dc for good chicken stuff. Definitely ask for extra sauce on the side it’s so good and the coleslaw on the sandwich and fries is just 🔥. And the whole atmosphere of this food hall makes it even so much better! Go try this place asap!
I’m gonna say this once and say it loudly so everyone can hear — this is the best spicy fried chicken sandwich you will ever have. AND the best Cajun fries you will ever have!
The sandwich is saucy and spiced to the gods, the chicken is perfectly crunchy and well-seasoned, the slaw is so creamy and flavourful — I could go on for what feels like forever.
And the fries, I swear I’ve had dreams about them. First off, they taste like real potatoes which is always a good sign they’re crispy on the outside and soft inside, with a generous dusting of Cajun spice that make these unforgettably delicious.
Just try it out for yourself and see, but I advise you order ahead for pickup to avoid long lines
A little over a year ago, I drove to the Brentwood location of Little Miner Taco, on a Sunday, to get a chicken sandwich. When I arrived, they were sold out. My heart was broken after driving an hour 🥹.
When I saw Little Fire Bird was opening near me, I was too excited. I went Sunday and though Epiq was still open, all the restaurants were closing. Again. Heartbroken.
Yesterday, I went and was determined to bypass Little Miner Taco on Taco Tuesday, Wild, I know 😩🤣, and get my sandwich. Y’all. Third times the charm.
When I say that Hotter chicken sandwich was everything I wanted and expected it to be!? It was perfect. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, perfectly dressed, and that bun was shingling like God himself had molded it. I’ll definitely be back…. Maybe today and if I do, that’s my business 😉.
