Normally, I love going to Cracker Barrel, especially on trips because you can get a real, cooked meal, instead of fast food. You have plenty to look at in the shop area while you're waiting to be seated. There are things for kids and adults to look at, which is great for me as I have a family with small kids who can be entertained by all the fun stuff in there. And as far as food goes, it's great because you can get breakfast, lunch, or dinner. For you breakfast lovers, I'm pretty sure they serve breakfast anytime, too. HOWEVER, this particular location didn't seem to come through on the food. My sandwich was mostly bread and not very tasty. My husband says his food was dry and gross. Service was rushed, too. Mind you, it was SUPER busy, but our food had been sitting for quite a while before we even got our silverware and they only brought enough for 2 people at a table of 4. Even when you're busy, you should shoot for quality, not quantity.
I love to eat here but you need to be prepared to wait a little bit on weekends. It's a very high traffic area. The food is good and the staff friendly. The service is also fast once you're seated.
French dip was pretty good I would get it again. I wish it was medium rare prime rib and a little more meat on the bun. Our server was on point! We liked him a lot. The biscuits were also amazing. It gets three stars for other visits where I thought the gravy was too bland, and I didn't like their breakfast sausage.
