Shanghai Cafe

This has been my favorite Chinese food restaurant for years, and I was reminded tonight of why that is...I placed my order for delivery around 6:10, was told it was going to be around 45 min. Nearly 2 hrs later no one had showed up and I called back asking how much longer it would be. The employee on the phone was extremely apologetic and assured me my food would be there within 30 min. The gentleman showed up about 20 min later, also very apologetic and kind.
Opened my bag after he left and there was a complimentary order of wontons! :-)
I didn’t mind so much the extra wait anyway, I wasn’t in a hurry to get my food and I understand that mix ups happen every now and then.
I’ve also gotten enough attitude from other food establishments to really appreciate the genuine sincerity in how sorry they were and the consideration in including a free side order for the inconvenience. It’s a gesture that really made my day.

The food was delicious and service was great! I ordered 3 items, g. tso chicken , garlic Chicken, and chicken fried rice. Food was ordered via phone and ready for pickup less than 10 minutes later. My ONLY concern is the prices online are different than what is charged in store (about a dollar more).

What an absolutely wonderful restaurant, with a warm and welcoming staff and delicious food! I cannot recommend this place highly enough – the seafood, the chicken, all were absolutely delicious. Ask for the chef's recommendations – this wonderful family-owned restaurant will go the extra mile to make sure you and your party have a wonderful visit! We plan to return soon :-)

First time here, but will definitely come back again. That is probably the best Chinese food in town. The waitress is attentive and hospitable. The food is large portion, fresh and well presented . It looks like they have a lot of big take out orders too. Recommend it!
