Relish Restaurant and Wine Bar

My husband and I were spending a weekend at The Essex Inn B & B in Tappahanock, our host Jeff recommended Relish for our anniversary dinner. We were highly pleased with the incredible service. And the food...wow...it was SO delicious. My husband had the crab on crab on crab dish, I had the chicken pot pie. Both dishes were so yummy. We had an appetizer of Relish Osyter Rockefeller and the strawberry short cake for dessert...both were fantastic. Get yourself to this restaurant and enjoy their fresh sourced food!

My husband and I were staying in Montross over Memorial Day weekend to celebrate our anniversary. We wanted to try someplace new for a nice dinner out, and my husband found Relish through a google search. We absolutely loved it! We loved the atmosphere, the staff, and especially the food! Everything was delicious from start to finish, and their house salad was one of the best we've ever had. This restaurant was such a great find, and we can't wait to go back when we're visiting the area again!

Absolutely the best place in the northern neck! Carol and her team really know how take care of you when your there. Special thanks to Adam for his outstanding service, he made our night out wonderful!

This was our first time being here and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The inside is very elegant and clean, with some amazing artwork adorning the walls! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with smiling faces and the waitstaff was absolutely AMAZING. We received a complimentary cheese spread and crackers before our meal. We ordered delicious, and very strong, mixed drinks! Our waitress was attentive and checked on us throughout our visit. I got the chicken pasta with sun-dried tomatoes and it was delicious! I knocked off a star because of the prices. For the two of us it was $90.00! This is definitely worth it for your first time, but not sure we'll be back for a while

I brought a friend here who was visiting from NC and sadly it was a bust. The oyster relish was good (appetizer). The pear martini had lots of liquor, almost too much. The Shrimp n grits with vegetables had an off taste to it. I did not complain, but I will not be back. The two best things were our VERY ATTENTIVE WAITRESS, who was FABULOUS, and the cheese and crackers. If you want fine dining choose another place, but if you want FABULOUS wait staff with HIGH PRICED FOOD THAT DOES NOT HOLD UP TO THE PRICES, GO HERE. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED. 100.00( FOR TWO PEOPLE) DISAPPOINTED, NOT INCLUDING TIP.
