Helen's really is quite good most of the time and the quality of food is usually excellent. Still, on our last visit it took them 50 min to deliver breakfast. (And 20 min to refill coffee they had failed to keep brewing.) They also let my friend's avocado toast sit on the bar for a looong time. Toast was ok, she said, but potatoes were room temp. My Hanger steak and eggs were excellent and cooked to order. I thought the toast that came with it was chewy and meh. Helen's... You can do better!

Sunday, busy time. We waited almost an hour for our food but when it arrived...man! Best Benedict I ever had. It made the wait worth.

Superb Bay Eggs Benedict. But you may have to wait when its a full house and just enjoy the great conversation with your guest. The worth every minute!

Food was excellent - vegan veggie scramble is super good. In a historic building with a lot of character. Service was fantastic. Def recommend when visiting Richmond.

We were told that there would be a 20 minute wait, but waited more like 40. Once seated, our waitress tended to us quickly. However, we waited almost 50 minutes for our food to come out. My friend had requested that there would be no onions in her omelet, but there were onions. She wasn't sending her food back in fear of another very long wait. My veggie hash was good, and my other friend enjoyed the French toast.
