Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken

I love their chicken, tasty and crispy. I would be a regular if I lived closer. But the chicken never disappoints. The staff is friendly. They have condiments galore, at your fingertips, as much as you want. I went at lunch time, there was no line. I ordered my food and went to the restroom to wash my hands (clean but shabby), when I came out my food was ready! #awesomesauce

This food was AMAZING the service was even better I can’t thank y’all enough for actually feeling like I got what I paid for and more y’all are doing a wonderful job and I would and will recommend anybody I come in contact with about it. Delicious! Especially the fried chicken livers! The biscuits are good, the fried chicken is crispy and flaky. The sweet tea is delicious, if a bit sweet, but it dilutes well with a little water.

Only changing my previous 5* rating. Herb roasted recipe way back, was worth 5. The sides are worth 5. Service was once a 10. In 13 years Lee's never messed up a single order for me. Always quick and friendly. In the last 4 months or so I've gotten 4 wrong orders. Really want to give it 2, but 3* is realistic.

Lee's recently discontinued their spicy chicken which was hands down the best chicken in Richmond. Their original recipe, in contrast, is just okay. The sides, particularly the potato wedges, are really good. Service is very fast, and the size of the chicken pieces is pretty big. The prices are pretty cheap for the amount you get.

Prior to them discontinuing the spicy chicken, I would stop in pretty much any time I was hungry and in this part of Richmond, but now I typically pass them by.

If they bring back the spicy chicken this will definitely flip to 5 stars.
