This establishment offers a delightful dining experience for those seeking an exquisite sushi meal. The seafood is impeccably fresh, while the appetizers are delectable in taste. The service provided is commendable, and the ambiance exudes a charming and intimate atmosphere. I highly recommend this establishment to those in search of exceptional Asian cuisine in the Richmond, Virginia area. I personally look forward to returning in the future!

It was recommended to try this place from the lady who worked at the spice shop across the street. Great recommendation! The Pad Thai with chicken and American spicy was delicious!!! I had the Mai Thai, it was amazing! The server was great and attentive

It was really good. We get a bit spoiled in Richmond with all of the good sushi and Thai. While I have had better of both, this place is very good, and the prices (especially sushi) are very fair. Special roll and pad see ew was about $30 with tip. It wouldn't be my first choice in Richmond, but very solid.

Came here for dinner on a Friday night and was pleasantly surprised since we hadn't heard of this spot before. This is a revamp, more or less, of Thai Diner Too, with an expanded menu. The decor references a number of animes, most notably with the wanted poster wall of One Piece characters.

Seating is mostly small tables that can be combined (they pulled two together for our family of four). The tables are reasonably spaced (you're not tight, elbow to elbow, like some downtown spots) but it would be difficult to fit a large crowd, especially during peak hours. We came a little before 6 pm and had seats available, but by 6:15/6:30, the wait was 30+ min, so I'd come early or late on rush nights.

The food was good. I got the fried rice, which was yummy, if not particularly novel, and my husband got curry, which was also delicious. Our kids really wanted sushi, so we tried a couple of different rolls, the Saiyan and Joy Boy, as well as tuna and salmon maki rolls. NOTE that during peak dining hours, they don't take modifications for rolls in order to speed up making orders. Our kids enjoyed their sushi and all the food came out within a reasonable amount of time.

I am taking off one star because of the portion sizes for the sushi - even though they're cut into 6 pieces, they're half the size of rolls you might get at other sushi spots. The prices for the special rolls are less than other sushi spots, but you will have to order more rolls here, and the rolls themselves are simpler and less full. As an adult, I am usually content after a special roll and maybe a bowl of soup, but we ordered 2 special rolls and 2 maki rolls and edamame for our 4 and 5 year old. The maki rolls in particular are quite small, as you can tell by the last photo - that is my 4 year old son's hand reaching for a piece.

The serving size of the two Thai dishes we ordered was normal, it's just the sushi serving that caught us off guard. This does allow you to try more sushi if you want to think of it as almost tapas style? And the Build Your Own option is nice for people who are picky or have dietary restrictions, but just be aware that if you're looking at prices, it's not a spot for cheap sushi, it's just smaller servings.

In general, we enjoyed our dinner and the spot is quite popular with families, students, professionals, etc. If you're looking for a new spot for sushi or thai, it's certainly worth a try, but if you already have a go-to, there's nothing on the menu here I would come out of my way to check out.
