Let me start by saying I had an excellent experience and will definitely be returning.
Even if I love the experience I always try to share likes and dislikes so here we go.

    Good:
Old quirky Richmond vibes that we all love
Excellent food with options to suite all palates
Very personal dining experience regardless of small seating area
    Kind, active waitstaff
Food came out in a timely manner

    Less good(?):
Minimal seating available so reservations really feel like a necessity, but on the counter part felt like the cause of this personal dining experience

Seating is.... weather permitting, the only seating available due to COVID is outdoor seating. Now don’t get this wrong, tonight was absolutely perfect(overcast evening with occasional light misting of rain) and my girlfriend and I loved it, BUT should the rain have come in any heavier it would potentially make it a particularly unpleasant experience due to the lack of coverage(which don’t get me wrong, I loved seeing the sky tonight)

Sorry I got a bit wordy on this one.

Now on to the experience. I had reserved a table for 730, we showed up a tad early and were seated promptly. You step outside into the parterre and are greeted with this pleasantly lighted garden with light music in the background, followed by being seated and catching a glance at the nice night sky above. We are immediately offered water and introduced to our server, Jess. After the brief introduction to the restaurant, menu, and waitress, as per common practice she asks about appetizers. Being our first time here, I had a couple general questions about the dishes. Jess appeared to be knowledgeable about the menu, not like some places where they have no clue about anything on their own menus, and helped us make a decision. We got the Cajun Tots, a super simple snack with excellent dipping sauces on the side. Jess regularly checked up on us and maintained our drinks. Now I dislike when a server feels to be hurrying me to order my entree because I normally like to take in the atmosphere and enjoy the visit, there was no pushy-ness at all in this experience. After some time we decided what to order, a Seven Hills Smash Burger for myself and Blackened Chicken Pasta for my company. I would like to note, there were a notable amount of take out orders coming in, but that didn’t stop the kitchen from delivering our food in a timely manner. Now on to the food, my burger tasted hand made, the meat was juicy, the toppings tasted fresh, and the presentation was tasteful. I cannot personally speak but so much for my girlfriends dish, but she made quick work of it and the chicken that I tried was wonderful, the seasoning was pleasant and the meat was tender and juicy.

Overall, without a doubt, I will be returning here again and would definitely recommend it to a friend.

I had never heard of this restaurant until I noticed it while scrolling through the Chop Chop app (which I also love and appreciate their service) trying to find something for dinner to be delivered. Oh my, I was blown away!! We ordered three different salad’s, which were probably the most beautiful salad’s I have ever seen, the Reuben sandwich, potato salad, tater tots, and two different dessert’s. Everything was fantastic. Portion sizes were gigantic. Most restaurant’s “skimp” on salad topping’s, especially delivery salad’s, but not this place...the container’s felt like they weighed 10 pound’s! I haven’t been so pleased in a delivery dinner since Covid started than this one, and we get food delivered several times a week. Even the paper bag’s were so thoughtful with the Raven birdie stamp’s. I really enjoy those special little touch’s especially when eating out is in the distant past, at least for now. I even called the restaurant to tell them how wonderful everything was. I’m so glad to have discovered this gem. If you’re looking for an excellent choice for a delivery dinner, I highly recommend, or eat in if you desire. I look forward to trying more of of the menu very soon. Keep up the excellent work and never, ever sacrifice the quality of your food. It’s perfect!

Highly recommend! The courtyard patio was the perfect setting for a relaxed dinner with friends and the food was incredibly delicious. Our waitress and the rest of the staff did a fantastic job from beginning to end. We really appreciated the level of cleanliness and attention to health and safety during this crazy time. Also, the option for contactless payment with a QR code was a nice touch. We enjoyed every bit of our visit and hope to be back soon. Thank you, Parterre!

Pretty setting and prices were good. The dish we ordered was not good. Sausage gravy was under seasoned. The tater tots were over seasoned (too salty). The egg was ordered over easy and came out overcooked and rubbery. The menu states two biscuits with the sausage gravy. It looked like one cut in half. Waitress was nice, and did take the egg off the bill.
