Sam's Crab House

Seafood and the scene here is excellent. Service is always awesome even when they have a full house. The service was very kind and attentive. It has a cool interior. Reminds me of a place in New York I loved to visit.

It is the Very Best “Hole in the Wall” Restaurant food that my husband and I have ever had! Fresh seafood cooked to perfection and awesome sweet tea. We each had the #8 that includes 1/2 pound (probably more), 1/2 pound snow crab (probably more), a side (we had the mushroom, onion, and peppers, a tiny cole slaw, two hush puppies, and a sweet tea, ALL Delicious for $14.99!!!

And...talk about sincere customer service: Jose’ exemplified that by his friendly, helpful, and kind demeanor. Honestly, we thought that he must own the place. Doris cooked up our meal with medium Old Bay seasoning to mouth-watering perfection to our palettes.

I love Sam and Jose they make you feel welcomed, they know me as soon as I walk in the door. I highly recommend. You get service with a smile...thanks guys

Stopped on our way back to New England from Charleston for an overnight stay. Sam's is convenient to our hotel, so we ordered a fried flounder platter and half-pound of boiled extra jumbo shrimp to go after reading many positive reviews. We weren't disappointed. Everything was fresh and tasty, including the sides, and up to par with the best seafood we've eaten anywhere in the US. If you're traveling I-95 near Richmond at mealtime, don't miss this treasure. Sam's is only a few minutes off exit 69, where you'll find a good selection of well-prepared seafood at surprisingly good prices.
