Best dessert place in Richmond. They have great specials on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The To-Go market is super convenient and even has a little eating area in the back if you need a few bites a.s.a.p. The ambiance in the regular Shyndigz restaurant is beautiful. Cool lighting and lots of plants. There are several different types of seating options and the wait time is usually not bad. Good for couples or groups.
Great dessert. They have pies and tall cakes. Everything is sublime. The atmosphere is great for any occasion. Take the kids or take a date. It's trendy and very 'Richmond' inside. I'm a fan of old buildings renovated and turned into eats places. Shyndigs has done a great job of creating a cool place to gather and eat sweets. You must try the Key Lime Pie. It's excellent!!
Love the cakes and atmosphere. Rustic with a low key charming modern chicness. Staff is friendly and professional. I noticed all staff seemed to be smiling and busy, that's something i enjoy seeing in food service. Drinks and dessert arrived quickly and presentation was lovely. Unlike most guests, I did not take a picture of my order. I should have but it looked too enticing and I went right in. Everything tasted better than it looked which is wild considering everything looked like it was from a magazine cover. Love this place.
I love Shyndigz. Its ambience is extremely cozy and romantic and has a rustic charm. The entire place is moderately lit and has candles and LED lights all over. The area also has a lot of plants giving it a positive, relaxed and calm setting. Can't tell which is better - the decor or the desserts! I love their salted chocolate caramel cake. It is a very big slice, the portion is as much as a small cake, so you'd either have to share it or take some of it to-go or you might be able to finish it all alone if you have the appetite and a sweet tooth! The creme brulee is good too. Servers are also great. Highly recommend a visit.
This has become a staple for our trips up to Richmond! The atmosphere at night is romantic and very pretty. The drinks are unique and very delicious. The desserts....oh man. They only serve desserts and they are BIG portions. The size isn't gimmick to cover up bland taste; the desserts ARE delicous!! You will be taking the rest home. I had the French Silk pie on this trip. The crust was PERFECT and chocolate mousse was the same. They have some desserts that are only a limited time so you will always have something new to try! The service is great and although they are busy, you can usually luck out. I would happily wait an hour to get in. It's worth it!
