Southern Kitchen

It was Amazing. Our waiter was awesome! (Tim) and (Taylor) was in training they both did amazing. I ordered Turkey wings, collards and Mac and cheese. OMG!!! The others had catfish and pork chops. Amazing!!!! We shell return!

First, the service was excellent, the servers were polite and courteous which is a pleasant surprise for a young group. The food was really, really good. The portions were enough for two people and the price range was better than expected. Yes we plan to and will go back again. Also the atmosphere is outstanding. As always street parking was my only downside, but it was worthwhile.

Southern Kitchen has a very comfortable and open atmosphere. The decor is very modern with bright colors that would make dining a wonderful experience. The service was okay, and the waitress was pleasant enough. The menu is typical southern fare, with turkey wings smothered in gravy, chicken livers with rice, fried chicken, etc. They had beautiful salads as well. I had the turkey wings. They were a little salty for my taste, though. I had unsweetened ice tea that was cloudy and bitter. The waitress was kind enough to bring me a glass of sweet tea after she saw it.The food was nothing to rave about; however, the presentation for several dishes was great!
The owner/manager walked by our table several times, stopping to talk to familiar patrons before she eventually asked us how was our meal. Her interactions with those patrons was loud and boisterous. I thought it very unprofessional. One employee was simply charming, though. His name is Tino. The bus boy. Very polite and courteous. He was personable, articulate and hospitable. He's the reason for the 3 stars!

Today was my first time trying Southern Kitchen and they did not disappoint. The wait was not extremely long. We had a cheerful waiter, (Hey, Jonathan!) The food was awesome!! I will definitely be back! To those on the fence, don't let one or 2 bad reviews stop you from going. You will not be disappointed!!

Lovely restaurant. Love the new location. Food was excellent! Seating took too long but we waited because we really wanted to try it. It was so worth it. Our server, Bobby, was wonderful.
