I went here for the first time recently. We had tickets to see Jackson Browne and wanted to go out to eat prior to the show, and we thought this would be the place to go. The Service was a little off with our primary server, but the secondary server more than picked up the slack. The cocktails were nicely prepared, Tom Collins, frothy, made with egg whites, so good, and so was the Seersucker. The IPA Selections were good, and I had a Sour-IPA, first time for everything, and it was outstanding. The foods and appetizers were nicely prepared, and so were the desserts. I'm glad we visited.
Food was flat-out amazing. Southern classics with some creativity. Atmosphere was dark and laid back in a historic space. Service was over-the-top. HIGHLY recommend.
Where to start with the compliments? The menu - stellar, the cocktails - standout, the service - charming, the atmosphere - relaxed and local! Oh, and then there’s chicken wings (if you’re lucky enough to find them on the appetizer menu) - the chicken wings are kinda the best damn wings I’ve ever savored. I managed to leave for San Francisco with a pint of their secret rub but don’t pass up the chance to taste the original if you’re in the neighborhood!
I really enjoy having cocktails and dinner at the Roosevelt! It’s a lovely location with a great staff Keep in mind, they have a very small menu, so I recommend looking at the menu online before you go to make sure they will have something you like, otherwise you may be disappointed. Recommended: The cornbread with house butter. Absolutely loved the food here. The service was great as was the ambiance. Not a huge menu but well thought out and very creative which we found very appealing.
I had a great experience here on my visit. The interior is very nice and they have a good bar. We had the fried oysters as an appetizer and they were some of the best fried oysters I have had. Really enjoyed those. Wife got the Pork Chop and I got the Hanger Steak. Both were great and the steak was cooked to what I ordered. Loved the sauce and what came with it. Menu is limited but it does rotate and they also have specials to offer including a drink. Service was good too.
