The Hatch

I tried The Hatch for the first time this evening. As a Roanoke native who's traveled all over, in and out of the country, and always said I've like just about anywhere but here, I felt the need to come review this place, because that's how we keep good things around, and how we hopefully bring even more great places in the future.

Anyways, a lot of people have had chicken and waffles, and most of us have had breakfast out, but I was pretty taken aback by how good the sandwich I had tonight was. It seemed like everything was very fresh and made to order. I got the Fried Chicken and Waffles sandwich (Chicken Waffle Sammy) and it truly might've been the best country style sandwich I've ever had. The bacon and egg on the sandwich was truly what took it to another level in terms of texture and flavor profile, and the chicken breading lightly crisp with a very tender inside. The waffle on the outside was perfectly cooked and soft without being soggy. The syrup almost wasn't even necessary, but I did dip my sandwich in it and it was just the icing on top. Perfect sandwich. I'll be back for sure and will gladly recommend this to friends.
