The River and Rail Restaurant

My friends and I had a lovely meal at River and Rail this weekend. The food was to die for and the cocktails were unique and delicious. Our server Hayden was wonderful and beyond helpful. We enjoyed him immensely! Would certainly eat here again. Great food + amazing service!

Great food, wonderful atmosphere, fun drinks. Perfect place to catch up with old friends, and not too expensive! Street has parking, but may get crowded during busy times as the neighborhood has several trendy, popular places. Take a walk after dinner to burn calories and see the neighborhood.

River and Rail is a superb dining experience. The atmosphere is intimate but lively. It is located on the corner of the South Roanoke burrow where passerbys stroll with dogs and children and no crosswalks are needed. The food is always a delightful surprise and you know the culinary team has selected only the best from their local suppliers. Brunch is where it's at but you will need a reservation! A perfect upscale watering hole for a night cap as well. You won't be disappointed!

Excellent location for american food. Food was so fresh. I look forward to a return trip. This place has a great design. Kinda of like a restaurant in Los Angeles I loved to visit.

This place was wonderful. The atmosphere has a comfortable chic - modern yet rugged look. The wait staff was on-point, helpful, and good natured. Our waitress really seemed to care about her work.
The menu was so fun! Every item is a traditional southern dish jazzed in a fresh, unique and exciting way. Here, familiar things like omelets and scrambled eggs become exciting culinary adventures. Not only was it fun and new, it was also exceedingly well executed. I've never had a more perfectly cooked, beautiful plated omelet before.
I highly recommend this place!
