Cute place, nice people, however shop needs updating. Price is decent for the food. Ordered cheese fries and they were plain fries with a mountain of cheese. No seasoning at all, not even salt and pepper. Salad was okay, just shredded lettuce, with some cut up meat and cheese. Pizza was good for what I expected.

Pizza connoisseurs...you know who you are....Mama's Pizza (my experience with the lakeside plaza location only) is the best pizza in Roanoke/Salem, hands down. Doesn't have to be fancy like mellow mushroom or anything, no, it's the real ingredients that you can taste. Specifically, their sauce is amazing. Consistency? Yep. Perfect everytime I've gotten a pizza from there. Not sure of his name, but the short, hispanic guy behind the counter is a miracle worker (and he like seemingly lives there). Everyone's super nice; location is easy to get to with adequate parking (ahem, Frank's in Salem); and importantly, they are super fast, somehow. They dont "buy themselves time" when you order over the phone. "It'll be 15 minutes" everytime (ahem, every other pizza place 20-25 min+). Prices are reasonable and comparable to the area. This is where you want to go for pizza if you want the best. Forget the feeling of garbage after a Dominoes/Papa John's binge. I'd put my money on Mama's Pizza. No, I do not work there or have any conflicts of interest. Upstate NY native (where pizza is also freakin amazing).
