Malawi's Pizza Spotsylvania Towne Centre

Good pizza but not your usual. I can always count on a great pizza here.

My family loves Malawis Pizza! The crust is unlike any other pizza I've had. Its light and flaky. Very good. My favorite is the Malawi Capri. My kids like the chicken bacon ranch. The service was very good the few times we have been. Friendly and professional staff. Clean restaurant. They have special events there often too like birthday parties and make your own pizza nights for kids.

Start out with the food was great, definitely would want to eat the food again, hence the three stars. I had been looking forward to trying this for a long time. Unfortunately when we went it seemed they were understaffed and disorderly. Ordered three 8” pizzas and after 40 min of waiting I went up because I was certain our pizzas were sitting on the serving shelf ( had been for 15 min). Once i informed them, they handed them right over but had no clue as to why they hadn’t been brought out. They only had two people to make, cook, and serve so I’m pretty sure they were just overwhelmed, was two young people. Only other things was approximately 8 guests who ordered after use got their food served to them before I walked up. That was the main reason for my frustration. Won’t be coming back for a while but enjoyed the food and the mission. They had lots of now hiring signs, so hopefully they get the extra hands they need.

Pizza was good but they were very busy (5:30 Saturday night) and the wait was long. My daughter's pasta was bland and the sauce was watery. Our pizza came out first and they said they were making fresh pasta. We won't order pasta again. Service was lacking (napkin dispensers were empty, no forks, etc) but when I asked they responded fairly quickly. All-in-all, liked the pizza but would never go on a Saturday night again.

Great service and great food. The staff were very kind when our picky kid didn't like the pizza we ordered, and immediately made a new pizza just for him. I can't rate this place higher. The specialty pizzas are delicious.
