Was okay 👌. Got the bacon wrapped 🍤 sent just 4 kicks. Ordered on GB Took a few days to get here on the Mexican border. This was more of a test as I need the perfect gift sent 2 Utah soon. We R down on the Gulf. We got our own 🍤. Bonus for their packing! Stayed cool even sitting on the tarmac for over 24 hours in Memphis. Good gift 4 those who R land locked. Otherwise, go to the Gulf.. Plotted. Scouts out.
Holy Moly! The blue crab pie tastes just like home. As a born and bred Marylander, I did not expect to be blown away... but I am. It tastes so fresh and delicious!
I was raised on Virginia's western shore of the Chesapeake Bay, so we had crabmeat often. My uncle was a waterman and we had fish and crab right off the boat nearly everyday. In my opinion, crabmeat is a "heaven-sent" food and I do not easily hand out compliments on crab recipes. Van Cleve's Blue Crab Pie is perfection! They have absolutely nailed it! Full of crab meat with enough seasoning to enhance but not cover up the delicate flavor of the crab. The pie crust is delicate and buttery. My grandmother would be very proud of the folks at Van Cleve's and I can't get enough of their Crab Pie. Do yourself a favor and try it. You'll love it, I'm sure.
I am 71 and have always fought for women's rights and I don't eat beef. So, this past week while looking @ fresh & frozen fish @ my local Giant (in Hanover, PA), I saw a new product and my eye zeroed in on the "the female owned." Of course, I'm going to get it even though there was a little trepidation concerning the price and the size. Usually for that price I can get two meals out of it. But not to worry, it's female owned.
Well, I ate it this evening and it was just outstanding. I'm sort of glad there was only one meal because I would have probably heated up the second and eaten it at the same time.
I told my friend about it in Denver and told her to look for it in Whole Food. And we'd probably pay a lot more for it in a restaurant.
Believe me, I do intend to bug Giant's fish department when they are low or even -- forbid -- out of it.
