Mason-Dixon Cafe Stafford

Came here a few times before writing this review but can definitely say it has been consistently great. If you come for breakfast get the bowl! The gravy is flavorful and the bacon and chicken is cooked just right. Combined they make for an amazing meal that will leave you stuffed with some to spare!
Edit: Forgot to mention that the staff are awesome! Very attentive, personable, and always have a service oriented attitude. Has a southern hospitality feel which is rare in northern VA. Also, forewarning, brunch wait times can be VERY long so plan accordingly.

Haven't been to this location since its opening (have only been to the FXBG location). Loved the atmosphere and service wasn't bad. Food doesn't seem to ever disappoint either.

I would totally give five stars if my shrimp and grits had actually tasted like shrimp and grits. The service here is flawless, everyone is always kind and attentive. However, I just cannot get over my shrimp and grits dish. It was, honestly, more of a shrimp jambalaya with cheese; super soup-y (see pic). The entire bowl only had four shrimp in it, total, and I didn't see any grits.

Aside from this particular dish, this place is great- more dessert options would be nice but who am I? Lol

Very delicious brunch food, and good coffee.
Saturday morning was slightly busy so expect a small wait if you have a group. But the service was still exceptional.
The prices were a few bucks more than I'd expect in Stafford. But it was only about $14.00 for a very large breakfast bowl.

If you like good food & stellar service, this is the place. So glad they opened this second restaurant (the other is in Fredericksburg and is every bit as good). Servers are attentive & friendly. It's sometimes crowded, but always worth the wait.
