De Rican Chef

Would have like for all the food of my party to come out all together. I was almost done with my food before my sisters food came out. The fried plantains were not fresh, look like it was refried. Taste of the pork chops and shrimp soup was good. Friendly service, nice atmosphere.

We enjoyed our lunch here. The food was delicious and plentiful and the service was friendly and prompt. I look forward to returning.

I been going to Rican Chef since 2008 and the service and food portion was amazing in the earlier years. I went to purchase some chicken soup with rice and beans and some tostones recently and the order was taken wrong the person on the phone was lost. They still have great food but the portions are a little small. The manager Luigi fixed the issues with my food. ????

The food was delicious. My friends son said he would give it 10 stars if he could. It was a bit expensive, but definitely worth the trip from Chesapeake to enjoy authentic Puerto Rican food! The service was also very good. Servers came by the table several times. I definitely recommend this place!

I ordered the beef steak sandwich and the meat was excellent. The portion is hearty and filling. So full of flavor and tender.
There were some downside, there was too much cheese and I wish they used fresh cabbage vice lettuce and some ketchup. Because of the cheese, there were times where I would take a bite and all I tasted was unmelted cheese. Regarding the lettuce the bartender explained to me they could've added it if I've asked... wish I knew this was an option. I did ask for ketchup and the bartender provided.
I came on a Sunday late afternoon and sat at the bar, service was good, but the atmosphere was too loud.
Only took a star off because of the cheese and loud atmosphere. Other than that, the experience was excellent.
