Kahiau's Bakery & Cafe

Great all vegan place that will satisfy vegans and omnivores alike. I tried the waffle sausage egg and cheese sandwich, the everything bagel sausage egg and cheese, and the smores cupcake. The egg and sausage are both made in house and they're both incredibly tasty and great textures. I liked the bagel sandwich more but I think that's just personal preference. The waffle was really good on its own but I just didn't love it as the sandwich. The cupcake was very tasty, as were the tots that come as a side. Customer service was excellent. I wish I lived nearby, this would definitely be a regular spot for me.

Amazing vegan cafe with friendly staff, delicious food and chill vibe. Very family friendly atmosphere with board games available and a large connect 4 outdoors. Plenty of outdoor seating and nicely spaced indoor seating. We had the Philly cheesesteak with tots and biscuits with sausage gravy and scramble as well mimosa and a pop tart to go. Everything was clearly made from scratch and seasoned well. The mimosa tasted like it had fresh squeezed orange juice and they had some of the best biscuits I’ve ever had. Loved the orange cranberry filling in the homemade pop tart and even the water had a great lemon flavor. Some of the best vegan cheese eggs I’ve ever had as well. Very large satisfying portions. Definitely can’t come to VA beach with out coming here.

Everytime I eat here, I am never disappointed! Worth the wait!

Early last week (3 February 2022)I went to Kahiau's Bakery & Cafe and forgot to post! Regular Mac & Cheeze, Potato Salad, and Sicilian Pie with their homemade pepperoni! All scrumptious! The Sicilian Pie…I could’ve easily eaten three slices (they’re huge)…so good!!

Stopped in Friday (2/25) for a cupcake (sister wanted a treat). It was 2:40 PM and I asked if I could order a Philly cheesesteak (they stop taking orders at 2:30 since they close at 3). The owner was so sweet, she made it.

I also got two different Sicilian slices…they are SO good! Peppers & onions and the other was a meaty version. A slice of Chocolate Blueberry cake…my sister loved it, along with the cupcake! An almond donut and a cinnamon sugar donut…wow, so fresh and yummy!!

I absolutely L-O-V-E this place. The employees are very nice. The food is a wonderful healthier alternative to chain establishments. Additionally when you patron this place, you are helping a local business owner and therefore helping our community.
