Kanpai Sushi

This place was good, went there for lunch and had a quick bite from their lunch menu. Food was well made and fresh. Staff was polite and prompt. The layout was good. I think I'd go back again and try their actual sushi and sashimi options as they seem to have quite a variety. One downside, I went to the restroom to wash my hands and I noticed that their toilet paper was probably 1/2 ply, it was so thin you could actually see your hand through it. Not to worry I had some nose tissue in my bag.the restaurant itself is great though.

Great meal started by a hot face towel. Packed with most tables filled. Watching the sushi chefs is very entertaining. First time eating their rolls as I usually have regular meals.

Our second time eating out at Kanpai! After moving into the area and trying out a few local sushi places, I think Kanpai will be our new go-to. We had a new server this time, but they were wonderful and so were the rest of the staff. Super polite and welcoming service as always, and the decor is so cozy. The food is amazing and hasn't disappointed thus far! Pictured are the Creamy Spicy Salmon Cocktail and their Fried Cheesecake dessert ????

One of the best if not the best Sushi in Virginia Beach! The quality of the fish and other seafood is outstanding and is immediately noticeable if you've eaten at other Sushi joints and then eat here! Excellent wait staff and ambiance. Highly recommend!

Short and simple review: Lunch specials are great for fresh sushi. All for the most part under $10 with generous portions. I went with a colleague form work for a quick lunch and we were seated, ordered, and served all within about 15 minutes. Great service and great selection. Give it a try next time you are around the are.
