Best chicken in town for like a 100years. I can remember as a kid riding with my mom out to Norfolk to pickup Pollard's... Still just as good, 50 years later.
Very friendly service, excellent chicken, and veterans discount! Highly recommended! (Better than that "other" famous chicken place)
I’d like to give a shout out to 2 of your employees. I arrived thinking everything would be ready since I placed an order over the phone. Needless to say I had called the wrong Pollards. Sheena and Delphine didn’t skip a beat. They were extremely professional, accommodating and even took the time to call the other store. Overall they have excellent customer service skills and Pollards is lucky to have them as employees!!! Well done!! Thank you for the great service!!!
This was my first time checking out this Pollard's chicken, and what a lovely experience! The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. To be greeted with a smile and friendly demeanor is such a welcome thing nowadays especially in the food industry. It was busy but the wait time for our food was not long at all. I had the chicken salad sandwich with fries and it is seriously some of the best chicken salad I have had in this area. My husband got the two piece chicken and the chicken was super tender and flavorful. The green beans are on point and the mac and cheese is decadent. You can tell there is a lot of love put into this establishment and its food. I highly recommend checking this spot out if you are in the mood for some awesome southern cuisine.
Great chicken, very moist and juicy with a crispy exterior. The Cole slaw tasted good as well. The biscuits are pretty unique, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, they are very good. I was disappointed with the mashed potatoes though, they seemed old and lacking flavor.. I got a taste of the fried okra and it was delicious as well.
