Pop's Diner Co.

Wife had a bacon cheeseburger and onion rings. I had the same sandwich, but potato wedges instead. Burgers were good for the price. Onion rings were like what you would find at the grocery story. Potato wedges were homemade and tasty. Ice tea was freshly brewed. We were greeted warmly and seated quickly. Server was friendly, but obviously working on leaving, sweeping the booth next to us, filling caddies and such. Restuarant was small, but clean. I suspect I would not return based on the over all experience. Better restaurants for over all dining experience.

Never been here before and my wife wanted to try it. So we went for it, we were greeted at the door, sat down and had drinks on the table in 3 minutes. Ordered our food and was quick and correct the first time out. Tasted amazing and Chris is a very efficient server. Checked on us and the rest of his tables enough to not be over bearing like some other server. Great place to eat try it out.

Delicious waffles! And everything else we ordered was great too. I love the kids eat free. Our waitress was very attentive too. Will definitely be back!

It was pretty busy and the atmosphere seemed cramped even if there wasn't so many people. Customer service was friendly and the food was okay, we had the seafood omelette. I was pretty disappointed especially for visiting family and going out to breakfast so close to the coast. Our seafood tasted like it was drowned in old bay spice, which we could have easily made at home and probably tasted better. Their other food might taste a lot better but I probably won't be back.

For context: I am a breakfast guy. I don't say that lightly. Diners are my church, and if given the option I'd have an omelette and home fries every day of the week. So when I say Pop's does breakfast right, I hope you get my full meaning. My omelette was pure Virginia Beach- crab, shrimp, and old Bay with Swiss, spinach, and more. Weird, for sure, but delicious. The home fries were so flavorful I didn't even want any ketchup. And the biscuit was as good as any I've had in the South. The staff was super friendly and service was prompt. I'll definitely be coming back here when I'm in VB.
