Great fish and service! I found Virginia Beach Seafood through Facebook. We have loved the fish, especially the dry aged sheepshead we’ve gotten. I cooked it as recommended by Todd, and it was delicious. Will continue to buy from him.
Virginia Beach Seafood Company has the absolute BEST fish and shrimp in all of Virginia. We've had three types of their fresh catches plus their shrimp - fresh and frozen. Everything has been simply delectable! If you want fish any fresher, you'd have to catch them yourself. I was initially worried about buying frozen fillets when the fresh were sold out, but thawing according to VBSC instructions worked great and the fish taste and texture were right off the boat. I wish I could rate them higher than 5 stars!
My first experience was last Fall with Shrimp. Deliciously Excellent.
Just picked up some Black Seabass. My fish fry is on for this weekend. Will let you know. Also, Todd and his small crew are a unique team. They free dive and spear their catch. While they take this break until the spring, keep them in mind for their fresh catches. I know I will. Yesterday, Sunday, I cooked the 3 i lbs of SeaBass filetes. So impressed by how Todd fileted and wrapped them in butcher paper. Much care was taken. He surprised me with some seabass jowls, a first for me and delish as were the filets lightly fried using Louisiana fish fry.
So Shrimp, now seabass. So looking forward to VBS returning in early spring to once again offer freshest of locally caught catches.
Thank you Todd and Crew.

The proprietor carved out time from his already busy day to deliver Spanish mackerel to me. He provided a whole, gutted fish and four filets he trimmed up made to order. I appreciated his making me and the small purchase a big priority. Professional brochure and all, this neighborly, sustainable-minded, environmental-conscious guy is the deal!
I bought a couple pounds of tuna from their booth during Y not Wednesday in town center. The owner told me he caught the fish himself, and explained how he immediately processed it and put it on ice. I could tell just by talking to him, that the guy cared deeply about the quality of the product he was putting out. My wife just seared up the tuna and it was amazing, sushi quality for sure and at a great price too! These guys are true blue locals who are passionate about what they do. They definitely earned a loyal customer!
