Even though there was an issue with our meal I am still giving it 5 stars. The owner was wonderful in his immediately addressing and answering our questions regarding the brisket and pulled chicken! He was gracious and understanding and truly concerned with our happiness. Part of the reason you go out to eat is for the food the other Part is for the experience. This was a great experience with great food! Will be back when in the area again!
First the bad: the service is chronically slow. The servers are nice, they get the orders right and do their jobs, but management never seems to have enough of them on the floor. The Brisket is wonderful, sausage is awesome and the sides are all pretty good. The food is consistent which is also a huge positive. Hire more servers and this is a 5 star rating.
We had lunch while traveling through Williamsburg during the 3rd week in May. I'm 67 years old and have been living on Kansas City BBQ my entire life. Trust me when I tell you that I had the most tender brisket sandwich in my life! Melt in your mouth tender! Good smoke, good sauce, generous portion! Lunch time deal with big sandwich, fries, cold slaw, soft drink and package of 2 Grandma's Cookies for about $8! Why the heck would you go to McDonald's????
Great service and great food. About the best potato salad I have ever had. The baked beans and Cole slaw were great too. I had the ribs and wings. They were also good. I highly recommend.
