Ludwig's

The smell of cooking meat calls to you as you walk past on the street. It whispers to you of sweet delights inside. It does not lie! We started with a soft pretzel which the kids quickly declared to be the best they’ve had here in Leavenworth. We shared the family platter for four, so we were able to sample most of the things they serve. It was all amazing. We kept exclaiming to each other “oh wow! Have you tried the X yet?!” with our mouths full of food. The family meal for four was far more than we could eat, and it will be a race to see who can get to the leftovers first. We finished off with apple strudel which was also declared to be excellent by everyone. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that we were waited on by the excellent and friendly Megan. She was hostess and the only server and we didn’t feel neglected or like we were a bother for a minute. It felt more like she was welcoming us into her home. Try Ludwig’s! A great dining experience is calling you!

Words fail to express the gratitude I have for the team at Ludwig's, and especially the manager DeeDee. From the absolutely amazing apple strudel, to the burgers and super crispy fries, everything was delicious. But this Leavenworth restaurant truly went above and beyond to help our family when we became stranded 100+ miles from home over the weekend. So thankful!

No line or wait to get in. Went at just the perfect time. Was wanting to try the schnitzel that is very popular everywhere. So me and my wife got it and it was amazing. Some of the best that I've ever had. My wife got some German chocolate cake as well that was eaten and enjoyed very quickly cause of how good it was. Will definitely recommend to anyone and come more often when visiting.

I didn't feel like we got the service we deserved. We went in on a busy night which I completely understand, but other patrons were getting more attention than us despite the fact that they already had their food. Not sure if I would go back to be honest.
