I wanted fried chicken but my daughter wanted fried rice. I didn't want to go to 2 places. Low and behold Kooky Chicken. This place makes better fried chicken than KFC or Popeye's and the fried rice is some of the best I've ever had. I'll definitely be going back.

Great food and excellent service. Nice little place. Will be back. Chicken and waffles was really good!

I was so excited to go to kooky chicken and was so ready to love it! I loved the concept of this crazy mixed cuisine! However, I’ve got to say that I was a little disappointed.
I ordered the Fried chicken and garlic fries, two items that if done properly should be transcendent. The chicken was only ok. The skin was satisfyingly crunchy and hotter than blazes, but the oil tasted a little off. That would’ve been OK, except the chicken itself was rather bland. Once past the skin, there was no flavor. My sainted mama was from North Carolina and her chicken was always savory on the inside…
I was also excited about the fries, I love garlicky chunks of potato and they looked fabulous, but again, I was a bit disappointed. They were unfortunately bland, did not taste particularly like garlic and lacked any crunch.
To be fair, my wife loved her sandwich and Thai iced tea and perhaps their Asian offerings are better in general. But the kooky side of it is not quite on point yet.
