Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

It's understood going in that Olive Garden is to Italian what any American chain is to Mexican. That said, this particular store does as good a job faking it as any can within the confines of the franchise agreement. We were welcomed warmly, served promptly and attentively, and treated respectfully throughout our visit. The server was confident and thoughtful about the add-on she suggested (and she has to do that, it's part of the job) but not the least bit overbearing about it.

We had a very upbeat and fun waitress and of course I've forgotten her name but seriously she was there when she needed to be but have is enough time to talk and play Pokemon Go. Ha ha, she was a sweet lady and had a personableness to her. The food was good, on time and the wait was light because it was a Thursday. It's super busy on Friday but duh it's by the mall. Anyway that woman was amazing thank you for great customer service.

Wanted to treat the wife to a nice dinner. Got there around 6:30 and was told it would get a 15 minute wait. No problem. Half hour passes and we started to see others who arrived after us get seated. We questioned it. The server realizing their mistake of missing us then lies to us saying she called our name. We were sitting right by them so that didnt happen. We left a crowded lobby and headed to our seats. Half of the dining area was empty. We sat next to four unused tables the whole time. Why do they make you wait 15 to a half hour with empty seats available? Our server was nice, got us our meal quick and helped save the day. The food was good as it usually is. Nice night out with the wide minus some small issues.

staff was friendly and attentive. Food is always good but the atmosphere is truing more and more into a "Fast Food" franchise. Felt a little rushed the last time we were in and noticed that others around us were also being pushed to pay and leave.

We always enjoy the food at Olive Garden. I always look forward to an appetizer of Calamari. They've changed their recipe and I won't be ordering it again. The old recipe the calamari was very lightly breaded and delicious. The new recipe has a much heavier coating. It wasn't horrible just not near as good. The rest of our dinner was wonderful.
