Sushi Chiyo

We love to come here once a months. The menu is not changing and the quality of food is good (not the best, but not bad). We ate better sushi and more expensive, and we tried cheaper sushi restaurants. When compared, I would say for the price you pay at Sushi Chiyo you’ll get decent quality.
Last time we ate January 21st, year 2020), I was disappointed- the plates were dirty, with oily residue on them. Either they used to little of soap, or too cold water. Two days later we decided to order to go (to avoid plates and waiting)... For California rolls and deep fried Vegas rolls we have waited for 45 minutes! The place was almost empty. If we went in we could have ate two times!!!! already!!!!
Two disappointments in a row!
Vegas tolls were good, but California rolls lack something and were too plain...
I am a bit confused about my feelings about this place now.

Our family has been going to Sushi Chiyo for years. It’s like our third home. I’ve tried almost every train sushi place in Vancouver and nothing compares. I highly recommend the Ocean Beauty roll and a seared salmon hand roll. But you can’t go wrong. Everyone here is super friendly and has been patient with us and our kids. And if you can make it for happy hour, it’s a no-brained.

Great food! Both my son and I have a laundry list of food allergies and intolerances, and they are always very accommodating to make the rolls special order so we can eat them! They also offer gluten free soy sauce!

Best train sushi around. We go all the time with our family and friends. We aim for happy hour 2-4:30 for discounted plates. Their ocean beauties are so good. Crowd pleaser for sure!
